In front of our apartment in Sucre
Our home to return to
We sold our home and kept our cabin. It's being remodeled while we are away.
This is why we left when we did
We had planned to stay in the cabin until it was finished, but early snow chased us on our way.
Santa Cruz Plaza
This was our first stop in Bolivia. We spent a few hours here waiting for our flight to Sucre. Had an excellent meal and tasted coca tea. Not bad with sugar.

We are staying two blocks from this main plaza. Very convenient.
Shoe shine time
We found it costs to sit in the park. But the shoe shine boys give us an opportunity to practice our Spanish. They'll shine any kind of shoe - even Lydia's Converse.
The White City
Sucre is called the White City because the buildings are predominatedly painted white.

Our school is held in an old building with this glorious bougainvilla in the courtyard.

Sight-seeing
For two bolivianos (about 26 cents) apiece you can view the city from the top of the post office. The aged gate keeper waits in the shade to guide you back down.
The Cementerio
It's quiet here today, but on El Dia del Muerto (Nov 1st), the cemetery fills with family members of the departed.

Small plots for small funds.
The rich
Then there are grander options for some.
